Job: Design of a Gateway and logo
Client: WWT Consulting (www.wwtconsulting.co.uk) for the Nanjing University
I based the concept of the gateway around the shape of wetland reeds found in the area, some kind of interaction with the structure was important to me, so after firstly exploring the idea of a series of structures you could walk through, settled on a structure with sections that can be climbed and walked on. I worked together with designer David Norton, who took my concepts through to technical drawings.
The second part of my brief was the creation of a logo, which I designed to fit into the gateway.
